Hello everyone! As the admin, I think it appropriate that I start off our introductions and offer you my ‘resume’ as an example of what you might choose to provide.
Over the 10+ years I have been on forums, I have used different names. Many of them were based off the nickname or a characteristic of my first character on an RP forum, or stemmed from what I thought I might contribute to a forum. Granted half the time, the name I actually ended up using on a particular forum was given to me by my friends there. Here, you can all call me “Namen” to avoid confusion. True to my tendencies, I’ve chosen this forum name to reflect the many names I’ve used over the years.
I joined my first forum ever on December 31, 2005. I had been talking with my cousin while we waited for the New Year to ring in and she described the forum she was building and the story behind it. Inspired, I joined. It has been quite a ride since then.

Between the forums, I also roleplayed over messengers and emails with a few of my friends. Beyond that, I have enjoyed writing stories on my own. This is likely where most of my attraction to RPG forums comes from. The stories pull me in and my imagination just runs away with the possibilities. You may have noticed that I have jumped around forums, especially in 2016. I find myself drawn to small forums. While the disadvantage is obvious (lose a member or two and the plot stagnates leaving the forum to fade), I enjoy growing to know the other members individually. It gives the forums an additional level of community for me.
I hope to find some of the people I’ve met online. Honestly, I think it would be a blast to chat again and catch up. Let me know if any of the above forums sound familiar. I would love to hear from you!
