Hello everyone!
In a way, Easter seems one of the more relaxed of holidays and yet once family is involved, chaos strikes. But that's just how family works, I believe.
It used to be (when my generation of the family was all tots) that we all got together at my grandmother and grandfather's place. We would have our Easter meal of ham, potatoes, beans, corn, and other nummy-nesses. Afterwards, we would have our egg hunt. Older kids hunt for the onion tanned eggs and the younger ones would find the brightly colored ones which weren't hidden as well. To give an eggsample, onion tanned ones could be found in the gutters, trees, or even a pocket if the adults were really feeling mischievous that year. We'd also have a basket hunt inside, though this was my least favorite part as I always seemed to be the last to find mine. One year I had even refused to look until most of the other people were gone so they couldn't witness my frustration. But I've learned since then about the favorite hiding spots.
Of course now with my generation more or less grown and with our own families, such gatherings are fewer and further between. Easter now is quieter and now more relaxing in my opinion... and less sugar loaded too! Lol!
I enjoy seeing family. We still play games, inside when the weather isn't suited for outdoor games/sports. It's just a bit more muted of an energy... unless, of course, we're in a competitive heat!
Enough about my family and our Easter traditions. What kind of traditions does your family hold onto? And what are the favorite things that you are looking forward to?
I know I am looking forward to hearing all about it!

Good morning!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter! While we all go back to our regularly scheduled programs, I hope everyone takes with them memories of a fun and/or relaxing weekend.
Personally, I had a much needed extended weekend full of time to do whatever I wanted. It was quite relaxing to have a minimal schedule for a few days. Happily, I did get a chance to visit with my sister and grandparents so that was probably my Easter highlight.
If you feel like sharing your highlights, feel free to add to the conversation here.
Also, in case you missed out on the Easter bunny who visited our humble Hub, here is a link to a picture of him. Enjoy!
